v1.x is the first generation product and will not be updated. v2.x adds new features, please refer to this guide. New features in v2.x:

• Added commercial version
• Voice firmware upgrade: Ai-WB2 module automatically upgrades the voice chip. During the upgrade, the blue indicator blinks. The device restarts after the upgrade is complete.
• Conversation mode switching: Switch between "interrupt by speaking" and "interrupt by wake word"
• Firmware update notification: When firmware is being updated, the device will prompt "Upgrading"
• Support for configuring agents via WeChat Mini Program

Explanation

The commercial version supports configuring agents via the WeChat Mini Program. Since the XiaoZhi AI account in the Mini Program is an Ai-Thinker account, it cannot be synchronized with the personal account on the XiaoZhi AI web platform. To bind to a personal account, please refer to:
Bind to Personal Account section.

1. Power On and Charging

▫️Connect and Power On

Be sure to connect the microphone and speaker; the screen is optional. Use a Type-C data cable to connect to the device's Type-C port, toggle the "Power Switch" to the left, and the red light will turn on, indicating the device is powered on. The welcome message will play:

• If the network is not configured:
  • Message: "I am your AI voice assistant. Please say 'Hello Xiaoan, start network configuration' to me."
• If the network is configured:
  • Message: "I am your AI voice assistant. Please say 'Hello Xiaoan, wake me up' to me."

▫️Battery Charging

If a battery is inserted, after connecting the Type-C cable, the charging indicator (blue light) will turn on, indicating charging. The light turns off when fully charged. If the charging indicator blinks, the battery is not inserted.

2. Network Configuration and Reconfiguration

▫️Network Configuration

1. Say to the device: "Hello Xiaoan"
2. Wait for reply: "I'm here"
3. Say to the device: "Start network configuration"
4. Device replies: "Entering network configuration mode, please use the Ai-Thinker Mini Program or App to configure"
5. Scan the QR code on the right with WeChat to open "Ai-Thinker IOT WeChat Mini Program"
6. Select "AI Hardware Agent"
7. Click "Add Device"
8. Click "Scan Device"
9. Find "BL602_XZB_V2.x_XXXXXXXXXX" and connect
   • Enter WiFi name in the "SSID" field (Note: WiFi name should not have a 5G suffix)
   • Enter WiFi password in the "Password" field
10. After filling in, click "Configure WiFi" below
    • Device replies: "Connecting to network"
    • Wait for device reply: "Network connected"
    • If there is no response for a long time or the device prompts "Network connection failed", please repeat the above steps
11. After successful configuration, return to the "AI Hardware Agent" page for device management

▫️Reconfigure Network

After powering on, use the voice command: "Hello Xiaoan, start network configuration", then follow the steps in “Network Configuration” to reconfigure WiFi.

3. Device Binding and Unbinding

▫️Bind Device (WeChat Mini Program, commercial version only)

Steps

• After successful network configuration, the device will be automatically added in AI Hardware Agent, as shown in Figure 1
• Click the device to enter the device details page. If the device is not bound, you will be prompted to enter a verification code, as shown in Figure 2
• After entering the correct verification code, you can enter the Device Details page, as shown in Figure 3
• Click Agent in the Device Details page to configure the AI role, as shown in Figure 4

▫️Unbind Device in Mini Program

(Click to expand) On the AI Hardware Agent page, swipe left on the device you want to unbind to show the Unbind button, then click Unbind, as shown below:

4. Start Conversation

▫️Power On Again

After powering on, wait for the "Network connected" prompt before waking up the device.

▫️Voice Wake-up

Say to the device: "Hello Xiaoan", the device replies "I'm here", indicating wake-up.

▫️Continuous Conversation

After wake-up, you can have continuous conversations with the device.

5. Conversation Mode Switching

▫️Interrupt by Speaking Mode

After wake-up, say to the device: "Enable interrupt by speaking mode", and wait for the device to reply with the result.

▫️Interrupt by Wake Word

After wake-up, say to the device: "Enable interrupt by wake word mode", and wait for the device to reply with the result.

6. Bind to Personal Account

▫️Unbind Device

Make sure the device is not bound in the Ai-Thinker IOT WeChat Mini Program. If it is, please unbind first. See: Unbind Device in Mini Program

After unbinding, you need to restart the device until it repeatedly plays: Device verification code: xxxxxx
