A Solution to the WB2-12F Automatic Download Issue

A few days ago, I saw several forum members having trouble downloading programs to the WB2-12F. I happened to get one recently, so I took it out and studied it. I found the root cause: the resistors connecting the CH340's RTS and DTR signals to the module were not soldered. We just need to find them and solder the resistors in place, and the problem can be perfectly solved.

As can be seen in the schematic, the three resistors R10, R8, and R28 are not soldered.

Solder three 0402 0Ω resistors at the positions marked by the red boxes in the image, and the problem will be solved. For the RGB LED pads, a soldering iron is recommended — to save effort, I used a hot air gun directly on the LED and melted half of it...

After that, you can have fun without any worries. Flashing via the command line in VSCode works without any problems, as you can see.

Flashing with BLDevCube also works fine. Just select the firmware, the correct serial port number and baud rate, click download, and you are done — no need to touch anything else.

Open the serial port tool and you can see our flashed program running normally. The problem is perfectly solved.
