This article introduces how to flash firmware for the Ai-M61/M62 series modules/dev boards.
1. Software and Hardware Preparation
One Ai-M61/62 series module or dev board

One USB-to-TTL serial adapter
2. Basic Hardware Wiring
Taking the Ai-M62-12F module as an example, wire it according to the table below.
Operation Steps
Double-click BLDevCube.exe, as shown below
Select the BL616/618 chip
(1) Select the BL616/618 chip (2) Click OK
Select the IoT download method
For detailed descriptions of the flashing software parameters, see the docs directory in the flashing software. Here I’ll briefly explain the parameters in the red box:
- Interface: selects the communication interface for download/flash; you can choose Jlink or UART according to your actual physical connection. UART is the default.
- Port/SN: when downloading via UART, select the COM port connected to the chip here; you can click the Refresh button to refresh the COM list
- Uart Rate: when downloading via UART, set the baud rate; 921600 is recommended
- JLink Rate: the flash speed configuration when downloading via JLink; the default is 1000
Next, use a bin file to demonstrate how to flash successfully. Place the related flashing files as shown in the screenshot below
Click the Create&Download button to start flashing. The following situations may occur:
(1) This error means the COM port is occupied by other software; you must close the software occupying the port (2) When “Please Press Reset Key” appears, reset the module’s EN pin with a low level (3) Flashing starts (4) Flashing complete
After flashing as above, power on the module and read the serial log; the following output means flashing succeeded.
