1. Ai-M6x Introduction
The Ai-M6x series modules are Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth dual-mode modules developed by Shenzhen Ai-Thinker Technology Co., Ltd. The series includes two sub-series, Ai-M61 and Ai-M62, both supporting Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ax, BLE 5.3, and Thread protocols.
Ai-M61 Series
The Ai-M61 series modules use the BL618 chip as the core processor. The BL618 chip features a low-power 32-bit RISC-V CPU running up to 320MHz, with rich interfaces including DVP, MJPEG, Display, Audio Codec, USB2.0, and 4MB PSRAM. It is suitable for audio/video multimedia, IoT, mobile devices, smart home, and other scenarios.
Ai-M62 Series
The Ai-M62 series modules use the BL616 chip as the core processor. The BL616 chip features a low-power 32-bit RISC-V CPU running up to 320MHz, with rich interfaces including USB2.0, SDU, SPI, UART, etc. It is suitable for IoT, mobile devices, smart home, and other scenarios.
Both series offer rich peripheral interfaces including Camera, MJPEG, Display, Audio Codec, USB2.0, SDU, Ethernet (EMAC), SD/MMC (SDH), SPI, UART, I2C, I2S, PWM, GPDAC, GPADC, ACOMP, and GPIO, and can be widely used in audio/video multimedia, IoT, mobile devices, wearable electronics, smart home, and other fields.

5. Learning Path
New to Ai-M6x and not sure where to start? Follow this path step by step: get to know the module and dev board, set up the development environment, learn the SDK basics and basic peripherals, then choose an advanced direction — wireless networking, multimedia, or system-level development — and finish with a hands-on project inspired by the community best practices.
First, confirm the hardware model you have and learn about the module resources and dev board peripherals:
